As part of the process to federate Microsoft 365 (M365) to RM Unify, the administrator is requested to grant delegated admin rights on the domain to RM Support. These access rights, which are facilitated via the Microsoft Partner Center, allow RM engineers admin-level access to the M365 domain to assist with support issues, investigations, troubleshooting and in some cases, aid proactive checks.
Microsoft have, however, chosen to deprecate the Advisor role used by RM Support in the Partner Center, thereby removing this method of access.
Customers may start seeing the following message in the M365 admin center:
"Starting on <DATE>, your MLT_<Microsoft_led_transition_no> Granular admin relationship with RM EDUCATION PLC will end. RM EDUCATION PLC will no longer have access to manage your account with Microsoft. This relationship and assigned roles gives them access to the Microsoft 365 admin center and other sites to manage your account."
This change does not affect any other M365 admin or global admin accounts specifically created, say, for use in supporting RM customers, e.g. within the RM Managed Services teams. This change also does not affect the RM Unify federation or the provisioning and sync of users and groups/classes. No further action is required by the M365 administrator. |
