Summary
Explains the process of switching the PHP version in cPanel.
Cause
The PHP version on our webhosting servers has been updated. This article can help customers in the version switching process. The link to this article is included in the emails which are sent out to the customers, asking them to switch their PHP version.
Procedure
To switch the PHP version in cPanel, follow the steps given below:
Log on to cPanel.
Search for the section Software. Click MultiPHP Manager, circled in the image below.
This page will show which PHP version the domain is currently using. Switch the PHP version by clicking the box next to the domains and selecting the desired PHP version (PHP 7.3 in our case) on the top right-side drop-down. Click Apply.
Optional: Make sure the version change is in effect by creating/viewing a 'phpinfo' page. Note: A 'phpinfo' page is simply a PHP page with the following code:
<? phpinfo(); ?>
