Summary
Explains why parent accounts may receive the error message "Sorry but your account has been deleted" when trying to log on to RM Unify.
Symptoms
You attempt to log on to RM Unify using a parent account but receive the error message "Sorry but your account has been deleted. Please contact your establishment's RM Unify administrator".
Cause
The account of the child, whose date of birth was the one that was used to verify the parent account originally, has now been deleted. When the child account is deleted (e.g. if they leave the school and are marked 'off roll' in the school's MIS), the corresponding parent account is deleted, even if the parent has remaining children at the school.
Requirements
RM will aim for this issue to be addressed in a future release, but in the meantime, please ask the school's RM Unify administrator to log a support call with RM Cloud Support.
Procedure
Once the Support team confirm that the RM Unify database has been edited for the user, the RM Unify administrator at the school can send a new invite to the parental email address so that they can create a new RM Unify account.
Browse to the parent user and click 'Re-send Invite'.
If the parent user is not listed, enter the parent's email address in the search box.
Under Filter, for Parent Category and Student Year, select All.
Click Search and proceed with inviting the parent.
The email recipient can then proceed with the verification process using the date of birth of the remaining child at the school to create their new RM Unify parent account.
