Specifying timeouts and retries for a computer's build

During the build process, if problems are encountered, the build template specifies how long the system waits before trying to perform the action again. The template also specifies how many retries occur before the build process is stopped.

You can override the build template settings and define different timeouts and retries for a computer. The new structure will take effect the next time the computer is built.

The build process has been set up with default settings and we recommend that you do not change these settings unless you have good reason to do so.

To specify timeouts and retries for a computer's build

  1. From the left-hand pane, expand Picture of the Computers icon Computers and choose All Computers.

  2. From the right-hand pane, right-click the computer and from the menu, choose Properties.

  3. Choose the Build tab.

  4. Click the Advanced button. The Advanced Computer Build Settings window opens.
