Allowing printing if the printer credits database cannot be reached

If you allow printing when the Printer Credits database cannot be reached, information about the printer usage will be stored and the database will be updated once it is available again.

To allow printing if the printer credits database cannot be reached

From the left-hand pane, expand Printers and choose All Printers.
From the right-hand pane, right-click the printer and from the menu, choose Properties.
Choose the Printer Credits tab.
Ensure 'Users are charged for using this printer' is selected. Select 'Allow printing if Printer Credits database cannot be reached'.
Click OK.

Notes

If you choose to allow printing if the printer credits database cannot be reached, this will take approximately 10 minutes to take effect.
A user may have insufficient credits to print and could exceed their printer credits allowance while the printer credits database cannot be reached. Use this setting only if the printer's costs are low and you can accept the risk of some over-use.
