RM Management Console: overview

About RM Management Console Help

The RM Management Console provides access to the essential functionality required by the system administrator of your network: users, resources, computers and printers.

The RM Management Console workspace is divided into two main panes: the left-hand pane is a tree view that contains the options available on your network; the right-hand pane displays the details of the option currently selected in the left-hand pane.

The RM Management Console workspace also provides a menu structure to access the available functionality, a toolbar providing easy access to the most commonly-used functions, and a status bar giving useful information on your current status.

Notes

  • You can customise your toolbar to display only those buttons you want to use on a frequent basis; use the down arrow on the right-hand end of the toolbar to add or remove buttons.

  • The Start page of the RM Management Console provides quick access to frequently-used functions. To re-display the Start page, click your establishment at the top of the left-hand pane.
