Changing a user's password

From time to time you may need to change an individual user's password, for example when a user account becomes locked due to logon problems.

To change a user's password

  1. From the left-hand pane, expand Picture of the Users icon Users and choose All Users.

  2. From the right-hand pane, right-click the user and from the menu, choose Properties.

  3. Choose the Rights tab.

  4. In the Password section, click the 'Change password' button.

  5. On the Change User Password window, type the user's current password and their new password.

  6. In the Confirm New Password box, type the new password again exactly the same as in the New Password box. For security reasons, all passwords are displayed as asterisks.

  7. Click OK on the Change User Password window.

  8. Click OK.

Notes

  • When RM Password Plus is installed, your establishment's password rules are displayed.

  • User properties are also available by selecting the user and choosing Picture of the Properties button in the toolbar, or by double-clicking the user in the right-hand pane.
