Picture of box set to enabled

A tick indicates that the setting is enabled; the setting is applied.

Example: Disable right-click on Web pages. A tick in the box shows this is set to enabled: therefore, the right-click menu is disabled on Web pages.

Picture of box set to disabled

A cross indicates that the setting is disabled; the reverse of the setting is applied.

Example: Disable right-click on Web pages. A cross in the box shows this is set to disabled: therefore, the right-click menu is enabled (that is, it is not disabled).

Picture of box set to not configured

A blank box indicates that the setting is not configured; either the default or any local or personal settings will be applied.

Example: Disable right-click on Web pages. If the default setting states that the right-click menu is enabled, this setting is applied.
