Import Wizard: Mapping window

As part of the Import Wizard, this window enables you to manage the mapping for the data you want to import. You can:

• Use the Mapping section to specify how data properties from the source file should map to existing properties.

• Use the Preview section to view the resultant data mapping before you start the import.

The Import Wizard manages mapping as follows for each datum:

• Exact match - populates the 'Column in Source File' field.

• Cannot match - populates the Auto-generate Details field, and provides access to the Edit Rule window.

The Edit Rule window allows you create a set of rules that are applied to control the source data to map to the item properties.

To manage the mapping:

1. Click the Edit button alongside the property you want to map. If you want to be able to change the mapping for a matched property, select <Auto-generate> from the drop-down list in the 'Column in Source File' field alongside the property.

2. When you have created your mapping rules, click OK on the Edit Rule window to return to the Mapping window.

3. When the resultant data matches your requirements, click the Import button to continue.
